FRANK ANCONA HONDA

OLATHE, KANSAS

Davidson A+E was tasked with upgrading the Frank Ancona Honda facility for expansion and growth, while maintaining the Honda facility prototype.  To allow the dealership to remain operational during construction, DA+E implemented a 3 phase plan:
Phase I:
DA+E created a 6,000 sq. ft. addition to the service department.
Phase II:
5,000 sq. ft. of the existing building was demolished and a brand new 24,000 sq. ft. building that included a large showroom, new offices, state of the art customer service center, service reception drives, vehicle delivery bays, and a large training room was added.
Phase III:
Remodel of the existing building, that involved removing existing offices and adding additional customer restrooms, new tech restrooms, retail parts area and more office space.

SEDALIA, MISSOURI

ARCHITECT / PROJECT MANAGER:

Justin D. Bridges, AIA, LEED AP

CLIENT:

McCarthy Automotive Group

For this regional project, Davidson A+E worked with our local client to replace an existing dealership located in Sedalia, Missouri.  As with many automotive dealership projects, the desire to remain operational during the process presented a phased demolition & construction approach.

The initial phase constructed a new 19,400 sq. ft. service and parts departments behind the existing facility.  By coordinating a few critical elements, a partial waiting and sales area was constructed.  Upon completion, the original facility was removed, allowing the remaining construction of the new 8,500 sq.ft. office and showroom, along with enlarged display and parking areas, taking full advantage of the available site.
