ALL AROUND CHILD
OVERLAND PARK, KANSAS
All Around Child allowed DA+E to utilize our "day care design" experience to be in harmony with the park architecture. Masonry and conventional construction set the tone for park and was utilized for the day care design.
Justin D. Bridges,AIA, LEED AP was the project designer and architect. His close attention to detail and functionality created a building that allowed the owner to not only flourish, but to eventually expand to the building next to it. Expansion was seamless since the architectural theme throughout the park was consistent.
EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER
GRAIN VALLEY R-V SCHOOL DISTRICT
DA+E was hired as the Design-Build team for an expansion of an early education and special education program facility in Grain Valley, Missouri.
The 12,000 square foot new construction project scope included class rooms, indoor and outdoor play areas, administration space, speech therapy rooms, occupational and physical therapy rooms.
The interior design incorporates a bright and lustrous color scheme for inner walls and flooring to help exude an enjoyable and uplifting environment for both students and staff.
CROWN POINTE CHURCH
LEE'S SUMMIT, MO | NURSERY + CLASSROOMS
The Crown Pointe Church addition was focused on the expansion of an education wing to meet the needs of a growing youth membership. The new facility divides approximately 28,000 square feet into large congregation areas and twelve classrooms ranging from infant to elementary age children. The space also includes dedicated choir rooms and the relocation of administrative offices. As with many building additions, DA+E lead a number of pre-construction meetings to coordinate the difficult connection of existing to new construction and varying construction methods between the two.
LAKELAND COMMUNITY CHURCH
LEE'S SUMMIT, MO
DA+E assisted Lakeland Community Church with completing phase II of their long-term plan. Phase I was completed in time for Christmas service in 2004 and included the conversion of an existing indoor soccer facility. One of the two indoor fields was converted to an auditorium for the church, which had outgrown previously rented space in a local movie theater. The second indoor field was restored to allow for rental income and use by the congregation. The remainder of the facility underwent an extensive face-lift to accommodate day care and Sunday school options as well as larger youth program areas. Recent work has focused on expanding multi-purpose rooms for the youth programs to meet more specific needs.
MERRIAM PUBLIC WORKS

The building houses offices, conference rooms, a greenhouse, service space and wash bay. The facility also includes a salt and sand dome.
MISSION PUBLIC WORKS

The building utilizes pre-cast concrete panels and steel construction. In addition to housing public works vehicles, the building also includes a greenhouse, offices and police repair facility. The facility has two sand and salt storage domes used to melt ice during the winter months as well. The Public Works building is located in Mission, Kansas.
